COLLAGE

Lou is also a collage artist. Collage helps them explore the ideas they are working through in a more abstract, whimsical and fun way. They got started in this medium with the help of Halifax Collage Collective. Collaging allows Lou to escape the confines of language, which takes the pressure off. Their first collage exhibition took place as part of a group show in July 2025 called “Out of Line.” “Out of Line” was an exploratory residency with a group of other trans artists, run by Khyber Art Centre. Some of the work they created there and some new pieces were subsequently featured in a group show at The Nest Art Space called TROUBLE.
